LEADing at Sharon Center School

During the Arts & Enrichment program The Sharon Historical Society taught students about the Gay-Hoyt House, a historical home built in 1775. Students got to paint a 3D miniature version of the House to take home!

During the Arts & Enrichment program, the Sharon Audubon Center brought 4 different species of birds of prey to educate our students about their habits, habitat, and how to help preserve these magnificent birds’ ecosystems.

The Sharon Playhouse workshops are teaching students how to use their voice, body, and mind through theater exercises.

Students enjoy sledding down the hill at recess after our recent snowfall.

In Project Make a Difference, our Middle School students mentor students in the Primary School- they play games, make connections, & have lots of fun!

Students saw Shear Madness at the Sharon Playhouse in September

7th and 8th graders walked to KK Kosik's Project Icehouse Gallery to see Lisa Hoke's installation called PrecipICE, made of cardboard packaging.

The 7th and 8th grade classes participated in an outdoor education adventure! They traveled to Chester, CT and stayed in cabins for a week at Camp Hazen.

1st & 2nd graders learned about Native People of Quinnetukut.
Mission Statement
The mission of Sharon Center School is to engage students in academic pursuits that result in the highest level of achievement and in the motivation for life-long learning.
Our students will grow in a safe and secure school community where we promote the individuality and unique talents of each student and the importance of responsibility, integrity, and teamwork.
